Tinho and Kate Da Cruz had recently bought a house and wanted to make some modifications to the existing layout. There was a conservatory and small extensions at the rear of the property that did not fit with how they wanted the property to flow.
After being appointed as the contractor for the project we worked closely with Tinho and Kate to ensure that the work was done with the minimum of disruption. We also ensured that the family was kept fully informed of the progress of the project at every stage.
We removed the existing conservatory and extension and cleared the site. We then created a single storey extension that ran across the rear of the property with a wood burning stove as the focal point. The extension was created to provide extra living space for the family and to feel part of the existing home. The extension featured a lot of glazing to ensure the space felt light and airy, as well as affording great views to the garden. Externally we also fitted a slate seating area to allow the family to maximise their entertaining space.
Internally we converted an existing room into a bedroom with full en suite facility for their daughter Pippa to enjoy.
Working with other contractors, we also fitted specialist accessibility equipment to the property.
Tinho and Kate were very happy with the finished project saying, ” We were very happy with the work of Spiro Borg and his team. He was professional and pleasant to deal with and showed both integrity and initiative. Any issues that arose he discussed with us in a timely way and suggested creative solutions. He coordinated his work ably with contractors fitting specialist accessibility equipment. He completed the work on time and on budget. We have no hesitation in recommending him to others. Together with our architect, he has transformed our house into a beautiful space for living.”
