Bungalow Refurbishment

Syd & Eileen had a bungalow which was in need of completely modernising and updating. The layout and the size of the property did not meet their needs when the family came to stay.  With this in mind the entire property was stripped out so that all that remained were a few of the existing interior walls.  Syd & Eileen had requested a ground floor bedroom with full en suite, a downstairs toilet, a large living and kitchen area and the creation of some new bedrooms for the family when they came to stay.

We reconfigured the ground floor so that it had a new hallway with storage areas, a bedroom with en suite, a WC and an open plan living and kitchen area. We converted the attic so that it contained two new bedrooms and a shower room, creating the extra space that was needed.

We also completed extensive work to the garden and driveway of the property. We built oak raised beds and put in paving to the rear of the property and block paving to the driveway. Syd &Eileen had a fixed date they needed to be in the property by as the lease on their flat was due to expire. We completed all of the works on time and they were able to move into the property at the time they had asked for. They were both delighted with the work and the new flow of the house. Syd said, “Like with any project, unforeseen problems arose during the construction work. In each case Spiro came back to us not with the problem, but with the solution. A refreshing and very positive attitude.Spiro and the whole team reflected competence and professionalism, and it was a pleasure working with them.”
